Sutherland Medicine Company of Paducah, "Dr. Bell's" advertised itself as a safe, non-habit forming combination of pine tar, honey, glycerin, and various vegetable extracts which promised (quite inaccurately) to cure everything from the croup to the flu to bronchitis.
